Poetry of Dorothy E. Robbins Kreiss
Earthly Props Are Gone
earthly props are gone
And you feel lost and down,
God is your strength:
When despair wants a room
To make your heart a tomb,
God is there:
It may look bad outside
And you want to run and hide;
For in the
still shines one light:
wish that you could see
is going to be:
heart may beat with fear--it will;
love can live there still--
hope and faith can rout
deepest fear and doubt
" ...we have not an high priest which cannot be
touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tried like as we are..."

I love the poem, very inspiring, and
I would say that we poets greatly need more poetry that emphasizes God.
Thanks for the beauty of rhyme. I am interested in reading more of your poetry.
